Causality and Positivity Constraints on Theory Space
Leonardo Rastelli, Stony Brook University,

The bootstrap program leverages general physical principles (such as causality and unitarity) to carve out the space of consistent quantum theories.

In this talk I will outline how universal properties of quantum gravity, as well as of strongly interacting gauge theories, can be constrained using the S-matrix bootstrap.

A central question that is being addressed is whether string theory is the unique framework for a weakly-coupled theory of gravity.
